The Oakland Raiders traded to get Matt Flynn this offseason to be their starting quarterback, and that will finally take place this Sunday against the Washington Redskins, as Terrelle Pryor will likely be a no-go after suffering a concussion during Monday night’s loss to the Denver Broncos.
The Raiders are 1-3 under Pryor dating back to last season, but have shown a lot more fight than with anyone else who’s been under center. He has thrown 4 touchdowns to 3 interceptions and also ran for a touchdown in the 2012 season finale.
Matt Flynn is 1-1 in his two career starts with the Green Bay Packers in 2010 and 2011. He had 9 touchdowns to 4 interceptions in those two games.
The St. Louis Rams took a beating at the hands of the AFC West-rival San Francisco 49ers last night, but they may have suffered a bigger loss than that after starting rookie safety T.J. McDonald was carted off the field with 10 minutes left in the third quarter after suffering a fracture to his right leg.
He originally injured his foot in the August 8 preseason opener, and has missed every game since then.
