While the 2013 season is underway, it’s never too early to look into the future. The Bengals have one of the youngest and deepest rosters in the league, but they can get even better by next year. So without further ado, here is my first 2014 mock draft.

Round 1: Loucheiz Purifoy, CB:

In 2012, he was not thrown at much, but showed a great deal of athleticism and showed he can mirror receivers. Admirable coverage ability. With Newman not getting any younger, Adam Jones has question marks, Ghee seeminly always hurt hurt, and no wonder how Kirkpatrick will look, this gives depth and talent. While he is great in one on one coverage, he is also a special teams ace. Including this year, he has blocked two kicks and a punt. His attributes can be used both on defense and special teams, as he has forced turnovers on both. Could end up being a Pro Bowl corner throughout his career.
