Here is the full list of inactives for the Bengals and Browns:
Starting in Leon Hall‘s place will be Adam Jones, and starting for Reggie Nelson will be Taylor Mays, who has suddenly become the Swiss Army Knife of the Bengals defense, as he’s played cornerback, linebacker and safety this year.
The Bengals will be without their starting cornerback (Hall), starting free safety (Nelson) and the CB who would have essentially started in Hall’s place (Kirkpatrick) since they play nickle defense so often that the third CB is essentially a starter.
It will be interesting to see how well Brandon Ghee plays in his 2013 debut. Injuries have plagued his career to this point, but he’s showed a lot of promise when healthy, and now he’ll get an opportunity to show what he’s capable of.
Meanwhile, the Browns defense will be without three of their top pass-rushers in Jabaal Sheard, Billy Winn and Quentin Groves. Rookie Barkevious Mingo will get his first NFL start to day at linebacker.
