Cleveland Brown’s starting quarterback Brian Hoyer’s night be over after just two series vs the Buffalo Bills tonight. It happened after he was hit trying to scramble for a first-down, when Buffalo Bills linebacker Kiko Alonso planted him into the ground, and Hoyer’s leg got caught awkwardly under him.
He stayed down for several moments before he was helped to a trainer’s table and then limped to the locker room under his own power for treatment. The Browns said it was the right knee Hoyer injured, and his return is questionable.
Hoyer has won two straight starts since replacing the incumbent Brandon Weeden. A lifelong Browns fans, Hoyer was trying to become the first QB in team history to win his first three starts.
Weeden is currently in right now, and the Browns have gotten just one first-down via penalty since Hoyer exited, who has yet to emerge from the locker-room.
