Vontaze Burfict now appears iffy for Sunday vs Patriots

It appears as though the Bengals will once again be without their top cornerback after Leon Hall missed another practice today, and joining him in those not participating was Vontaze Burfict, the team’s leading tackler and by-far their best linebacker:

Through four weeks, Burfict leads the NFL in tackles with 42, and is one of the most important players on Bengals defense that currently ranks 11th in the league in rushing defense.

That’s where his greatest strength is, and having him against a resurgent Patriots ground game will be key to getting a win Sunday.

The Patriots currently have the league’s 9th-best rushing offense compared to their 17th-ranked passing offense.
