The New England Patriots backfield has been one of the best units in the league through the first month of the season, and running back Stevan Ridley is the teams’ leading rusher with 174 yards. He rushed a team-high 11 times last Sunday night against the Atlanta Falcons, and has managed to remain the lead-back for much of the past two seasons.

After missing Thursday’s practice, his availability of Sunday’s contest against the Bengals was hinging on his ability to practice today, which it doesn’t appear as though he was able to do:

If he does miss Sunday’s game, Brandon Bolden will likely draw the start.
