The Baltimore Ravens have made a pair of surprising roster moves today, as they’ve cut of their best free agent signings from this offseason in safety Michael Huff and defensive lineman Marcus Spears:

The Salary implications make it even more of a surprising move:
Marcus Spears signed a two-year, $2.75 million deal including $600,000 signing bonus. Was due nonguaranteed $1.25 millionbase salary in 2014

If unclaimed off waivers, Michael Huff gets $2.3M this yr from the Ravens. Hadn’t played a defensive snap since Week 4.

Maybe the Bengals should kick the tires on Huff, as he has experience playing both safety and cornerback.
