The Cleveland Browns are apparently still not sold on wide receiver Josh Gordon as a player they want to continue to build around, and the receiver-needy San Francisco 49ers could be a team that tries to trade for him:
Browns aren’t shopping their stars. But they have talked to teams about Josh Gordon, including #49ers. They’d like a 2nd rounder in return

The Browns will likely hang on to Gordon leading up to the NFL trade deadline, and depending on their ability to keep up their newfound winning ways may determine their willingness to unload Gordon.
The 6’3″, 225 pound wide receiver has the size to match up with some of the NFL’s larger corners, but also possesses the speed to beat defenses over the top. He averaged 16.1 yards per reception as a rookie in 2012, and looks like a potential star if he can stay out of trouble and keep his head on straight.
He was suspended for the first two games of this season for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy, and it presumably involved marijuana. He was arrested on marijuana charges while at Baylor and failed a drug test after transferring to Utah prior to the 2011 season.
After serving his two-game suspension, Gordon returned in Week 3 against the Minnesota Vikings and caught 10 passes for 146 yards and one score.
On one hand, he’s clearly a major talent with a lot of red flags they may keep him from reaching his full potential.
