Faclons rule out Roddy White and Steven Jackson

According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, the Atlanta Falcons will be without both wide receiver Roddy White and running back Steven Jackson this week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

And per Atlantafalcons.com:

Wide receiver Roddy White has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, bringing the third longest streak of consecutive games played in Falcons history to an end.

White continues to recover from an ankle injury suffered in the preseason and, in the latest challenge, a hamstring injury suffered against the Jets less than two weeks ago.

White’s streak ends at 133 consecutive games played, a mark that covers his entire eight-year career. In other words, White has never missed a game due to injury.

RB Steven Jackson will also miss his fourth straight game with a hamstring injury suffered in Week 2 against St. Louis.

Also ruled out are T Sam Baker and TE Chase Coffman. LB Akeem Dent is questionable.

This is a tough loss for the Falcons, who are in a must-win scenario if they want to have any hope of making it to the postseason.
