Bengals made waiver claim on Jordan Poyer before Browns claimed him

The Bengals aid they weren’t looking to a add player from free agency or the waiver wire, but according to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati enquirer, they have already made one attempt to claim a player on the waiver wire:

Poyer played in three regular-season games for the Philadelphia Eagles, but only accounted for three tackles and several plays in which he was burned in coverage (like the photo above). The Eagles selected him in the seventh round in this year’s NFL Draft. He notched 13 career interceptions during a standout career with the Oregon State Beavers.

My take: Antoine Winfield or Shaun Prater make more sense.
