George Iloka’s fine for hit on Jermichael Finley reduced

Bengals safety George Iloka was fined $15,000 for a hit that concussed Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley in their Week 3 matchup.  Iloka hit Finley in the first quarter of the Bengals’ wild 34-30 win over the Packers, and the hit knocked him out of the game and he didn’t return.

“He was coming at me head first, and I was just trying to make a play on the ball and knock it out with my hand, and his head happened to hit my lower bicep area and caused a concussion,” Iloka said after learning of the fine.

Iloka appealed the fine, and word is just now coming down that he did lose the appeal, but that it was reduced:
