Sep 15, 2013; Baltimore, MD, USA; Cleveland Browns quarterback Jason Campbell (17) is pressured by the Baltimore Ravens defense at M

Weeden finished the game having completed only 17/42 pass attempts (40.5 percent) for 149 yards with one touchdown and one interception as the Browns lost, 31-13, and now it appears the coaching staff is tired of his play.

Per Mary Cay Albot:

Coach Rob Chudzinski admitted Monday that the Browns are considering benching Weeden, who punctuated each of his last two losses with panicked, backhanded or underhanded flips to Chris Ogbonnaya. One was picked off and the other nearly was.

They were the poster-passes for Weeden’s back-to-back poor outings, which may have earned a look at backup Jason Campbell Sunday against the 7-0 Chiefs.

When the Browns signed Campbell this summer, many thought he could beat-out Weeden for the starting job.. He was 4-2 with a 84.2 QB rating as a starter in 2011 for the Oakland Raiders. He was injured in a game vs the Browns and missed final 10 games.

For his career, he’s 31-40 as a starter, a 82.5 rating.

Last season, he was a backup for the Chicago Bears and made one start in a 32-7 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. He was 14/22 passing for only 107 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
