Perhaps Mike Zimmer could light a fire under him and bring the best out of him at DE. Zimmer has been know to help his player reach their maximum potential and play at levels beyond what they’d reached previously. He’s made former draft-bust and trouble maker Adam “Pacman” Jones look like a star in Cincinnati, and he’s done the same for may players who have come to the Bengals after disappointing careers elsewhere.

For now, the Bengals appear ready to stand pat until Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline, and Montgomery could be a nice pickup if they choose to sign him.
