It’s been reported for a few weeks now that it would take a second-round pick to acquire Cleveland Browns receiver Josh Gordon, which probably won’t happen, and the Bengals will likely see him again when the two teams meat in Cincy in two weeks.

 

Profootballtalk reports the Washington Redskins are aggressively shopping demoted tight end Fred Davis, who’s lost his starting job to rookie Jordan Reed, and Davis may be cut if the team can’t deal him.

 

I floated the idea of the Carolina Panthers trading running back Jonathan Stewart to the New York Giants for receiver Hakeem Nicks.

 

The Miami Herald reports the Miami Dolphins won’t make a trade for wide receivers Hakeem Nicks or Josh Gordon even after losing Brandon Gibson for the season.
