Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Marvin Jones has won the AFC Offensive Player of the Week after he set a franchise single-game record by catching four touchdowns during the team’s 49-9 win over the New York Jets on Sunday.
“He’s really comfortable with what we’re doing,” quarterback Andy Dalton said following Sunday’s game. “He understands running routes, and knowing that, “OK, if this guy is playing me this way, I’m going to run my route like this.’ That just comes with the time of playing and seeing different looks. He’s had the potential since he’s been here. I think he’s just comfortable with everything that we’re doing and everything that we’re asking him to do.”
He’s now caught six touchdowns over the past three games, and it finally looks like the Bengals have found their No. 2 receiver to compliment A.J. Green and make this offense elite.
