The Cincinnati Bengals are holding their first practice today since last Thursday’s debacle in Miami that not only left them with just their third loss this year, but also left several players banged-up. The loss of Geno Akins for the year was the one everyone remembers, but in the midst of the madness, running back Giovani Bernard and linebacker James Harrison also were dinged-up.

Head Coach Marvin Lewis said after the loss that he expected Bernard to play this week, but Bernard doesn’t sound too sure he’ll be ready to go:

Bernard left the game in the fourth quarter with a rib injury, and Harrison had to be helped by trainers during half time as he dealt with a thumb injury.
