Looking ahead is about all a Bengals fan can do after Thursday night’s slaughter by the Miami Dolphins. It really felt like I was watching a horror movie. With multiple injuries already for the Bengals, the only thing they had their hat to hang on was their defensive line was injury free and fresh.

Now, they lost arguably the best defensive tackle in the NFL with an ACL tear in Geno Atkins. Two weeks ago, it was Leon Hall with the torn Achilles who was lost for the season. Last week, Rey Maualuga went off the field with a scary head and knee injury. He is only expected to be out 3-4 weeks. Taylor Mays was also placed on season ending Injured Reserve with a shoulder injury. The IR boat is getting filled up fast and it seems Geno Atkins will be climbing aboard, obviously the biggest bit of all to this Bengals team.

Still, this team sits with a comfortable lead over the rest of the AFC North. Let’s try to forget about Thursday night, and look ahead to the next two games before the Bengals hit the bye week.
