The Cincinnati Bengals had a tough loss to swallow on Thursday night, but they have a longer week to get healthy, which they desperately need. The Bengals will be playing a division rival, the Baltimore Ravens. Needless to say, the Ravens are having a surprising and underwhelming year, but that does not mean the Bengals should take them lightly. In fact, Andy Dalton has yet to beat the Baltimore Ravens when he plays all 4 quarters. The Bengals are hoping to get back on track with a statement win against their division rivals. Here are six keys to beating the Baltimore Ravens.
1. Shut Down Ray Rice
While Rice is having an extremely surprising season (and not in a good way), the Bengals must make sure they shut him down in the run game. They struggled tremendously against the Dolphins rushing attack on Thursday and must play together to make sure Rice does not get into a rhythm. Also, the Bengals should not forget about Bernard Pierce, as he has had some surprising games throughout the season. The Bengals must shut down the run game and try to make Joe Flacco beat them through the air.
