It’s time for our midseason awards as we look at the player who has been pivotal in the Cincinnati Bengals defense once again ranking among the NFL’s top-10. Even without Pro Bowlers Leon Hall and Geno Atkins, this is still one of the better defenses in the league and is full of players who were pivotal to the team’s success before Hall or Atkins were lost for the year.

Carlos Dunlap: He’s earning every penny of his contract. He has four sacks to go along with two forced fumbles and a blocked field goal that saved the game against the Detroit Lions. He has spear-headed a defensive line that has made up for injuries in the secondary.
