During the offseason, the Cincinnati Bengals were widely praised for their depth, both by the media and fans. After a heart-breaking and frustrating Thursday night football game, the Bengals have lost their best defensive player, Geno Atkins. The Bengals have already lost Leon Hall for the rest of the year, along with Taylor Mays.

Rey Maualuga is also out for a few more weeks, but the Bengals will thankfully get him back. There are many injuries surrounding the Bengals right now, but there is certainly no need to panic. The Bengals still are a good team, now it’s time for the depth to step up.

At the cornerback position, Adam Jones and Terence Newman have both stepped up. However, there are two corners that also have received some recent playing time. Brandon Ghee, whom was drafted in the 3rd round, and Dre Kirkpatrick, a 1st round pick in 2012 because of the Carson Palmer trade.
