Fantasy Football: Bench Giovani Bernard and Ray Rice this week

The Cincinnati Bengals have become an elite offensive football team this year, and much of that has had to do with the play of rookie running back Giovani Bernard. He’s accounted for 627 total yards (361 rushing and 267 receiving) while being on the field less than half of the team’s offensive snaps in six of their nine games.

But this week vs the Baltimore Ravens, he may serve your fantasy football team better while on the bench. He was limited in practice all week, and his “questionable” status for Sunday’s game means it is likely he won’t get a lot of touches even if he is able to play.

And according to FF Today, the Ravens and Bengals are both among the league’s best defenses in terms of fantasy points given up to opposing running backs:
