NFL Seahawks gain Percy Harvin: Buccaneers lose Mike James

The Seattle Seahawks will finally get to see what they have in Pro Bowl receiver Percy Harvin. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported yesterday that Harvin is planning to play in Week 11 against the Vikings.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter had similar reports Sunday and Monday. The Seahawks activated Harvin from PUP this afternoon. Coach Pete Carroll says Harvin will practice Wednesday and “how he responds” will determine if Harvin plays against his former Vikings team.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost running back Mike James during last night’s game vs the Miami Dolphins after he fractured his left ankle and is now “out indefinitely.”

James gashed the Dolphins for 41 yards on five carries on the opening drive, getting the offense down to the one-yard line before he was carted off the field following a tackle where Dannell Ellerbe landed on James’ ankle and trapped it between the turf and Ellerbe.

With him out for the foreseeable future, Brain Leonard and Bobby Rainey

The Green Bay Packers signed free agent quarterback Matt Flynn yesterday, and he may end up being the backup to Scott Tolzien after Seneca Wallace was forced fro Sunday’s game with a leg injury.
