Bengals Wednesday Injury Report; What it means for Sunday vs Browns

Here is the full list of players who were on the Cincinnati Bengals injury report today:

Starting middle linebacker Rey Maualuga (knee) didn’t practice Wednesday. Expect Vinnie Rey to draw his third-straight start on Sunday in his absence.

Backup middle linebacker Michael Boley (hamstring) practiced for the first time since injuring his hamstring against the Jets on Oct. 27. He should play this week but Vinnie should start over him.

Weakside linebacker Vontaze Burfict sat out Wednesday for a knee injury, but it is worth pointing out that he was tested for a concussion on Sunday towards the end of regulation, but did eventually return. If he did suffer one and is having recurring symptoms, that will put his status for Sunday in doubt.

Starting right guard Kevin Zeitler was out today after he showed up in the locker room Monday with his foot in a boot. It appears he suffered a foot injury Sunday that may sideline him for this week if it’s bad enough to have him in a boot.

Starting defensive tackle Brandon Thompson (unknown) sat out today after his seven-tackle performance on Sunday. This is likely a rest day or an illness.

Backup safety Chris Crocker (unknown) also sat out.

Backup defensive tackle Devon Still (elbow) missed practice and will likely be out for the rest of the month as he recovers from a dislocated elbow.

Running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis revealed today that he’s played with a broken thumb since Week 2. He should play Sunday but this would explain some of his struggles and decrease in carries.
