Starting middle linebacker Rey Maualuga (knee) didn’t practice Wednesday or Thursday, but was a surprising addition to today’s practice session:     This means there is a small chance he will be able to play Sunday. If he doesn’t or plays only limited snaps, expect Vinnie Rey to draw his third-straight start on Sunday in his absence.

If he doesn’t or plays only limited snaps, expect Vinnie Rey to draw his third-straight start on Sunday in his absence.

Also likely out for Sunday is safety Chris Crocker. That’s a big loss considering he gets snaps at both safety and cornerback and is basically a starter for this defense. That means more playing time for rookie safety Shawn Williams, who hasn’t played much at all this year outside of special teams.

Man, I it isn’t buzzard’s luck or a ton of bad calls by refs, it’s injuries,………when will it all end ? They’re so banged up, Marvin may have to go to Tommy Tupperware for some UC players. Despite the 1 1/2 games lead, they’re going to have a tough time winning the division now with the blunders and the patch work team.
