The Cincinnati Bengals are 7-4 and have gotten to this point on the strength of their defense, which is once again amongst the NFL’s elite. You wouldn’t have thought that’d be the case over the past moth though, as the Bengals lost key player after key player for the year. Cornerback Leon Hall ,regarded as one of the games best defensive backs, was lost for the year in Week 7 after tearing his Achilles Tendon during a win over the Detroit Lions.

Two weeks later, All-Pro defensive tackle Geno Atkins was lost for the year with a torn ACL. But the one player who’s played in every game and made an impact in every single one has been linebacker Vontaze Burfict, who was just named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
