You know it’s pretty bad when there’s a Cincinnati Bengals player getting fined on their bye week, but that it appears to be the case with defensive tackle Domata Peko:

Peko has received a previous fine, but it was in 2001, when he was fined $7,500 as the result of ripping the helmet off Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch during a third-quarter running play.

This has to stop now though, as the Bengals were flagged for 64  penalty yards Sunday vs the Cleveland Browns. Last week, Cincinnati picked up nine penalties for 134 yards in an overtime loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

This has to stop, or the team is going to cost itself a first-round bye, playoff seeding or even the division crown if they allow penalties to cause them to lose games down the stretch.
