Washington Redskins rookie tight end Jordan Reed missed a third straight day of practice because of a concussion that he suffered in last Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Reed has yet to pass a neurological test and thus cannot take part in any football activities. The Redskins have no ruled him out for Monday’s game at San Francisco:
Due to a concussion, Redskins TE Jordan Reed will not play Monday night against San Francisco.

Reed’s 45 catches for 499 yards both rank second on the Redskins. With Reed out, the Redskins will have to rely on the incumbent Fred Davis, who has been inactive the past five games. Davis has some rust to knock off. He has played in just four games this season and has three catches. He last played in a game Oct. 13 at Dallas and last had a catch Sept. 15 at Green Bay. He had 24 catches for 325 yards in seven games last season. In 2011, he had 59 catches for 796 yards in 12 games before serving a four-game suspension for a violation of the NFL substance abuse policy.
If you have Reed in fantasy football and are scrambling for an emergency play, you may have to consider Davis.
