Jacksonville Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell said on a radio show Tuesday that there’s a “realistic possibility” the team re-signs running back Maurice Jones-Drew this offseason. Jones-Drew is in the final year of a five-year, $30.95 million deal. He’s started all 11 games this season and has rushed 171 times for 539 yards (3.2 YPC), so if the team does re-sign him, it will be at a significant discount to allow them team to continue rebuilding their depleted roster.

The San Francisco 49ers activated wide receiver Michael Crabtree from the reserve/PUP list. He will likely make his 2013 NFL debut Sunday vs the St. Louis Rams. The team also waived quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson to clear a roster spot for  Crabtree.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers confirmed on his Tuesday radio show that he’s yet to be cleared for game action, making even more doubtful to play this week vs the Detroit Lions.

The Tennessee Titans signed running back/kick-returner Leon Washington. In order to make room for him, the Tiants waived receiver Devon Wylie

The Seattle Seahawks signed cornerback Perrish Cox, who will occupy the roster spot of cornerback Walter Thurmond III while he serves a four-game suspension.

The Denver Broncos will place defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson (hip) on injured reserve, due to a dislocated hip suffered in Sunday’s loss to the Patriots.

The Washington Redskins placed defensive end Stephen Bowen on injured reserve with a knee injury, and according to Head Coach Mike Shanahan, he may require microfracture surgery.

The Cleveland Browns claimed tight end Andre Smith off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys, as well as signing quarterback Alex Tanney off their practice squad. The team also waived receiver Brian Tyms and offensive lineman Patrick Lewis.

The Miami Dolphins signed defensive tackle A.J. Francis off the Patriots’ practice squad.

The Patriots waived defensive tackle Marcus Forston and cornerback Justin Green and signed tight end D.J. Williams.

The Indianapolis Colts waived wide receiver David Reed and tight end Justice Cunningham.

The New Jets placed linebacker Troy Davis on injured reserve with a chest injury, ending his season. Davis suffered a severe chest contusion in Sunday’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He was mostly used on special teams.
