On this Thanksgiving, it seems only appropriate to reflect on all the reasons fans should be thankful for the Cincinnati Bengals season. We all had high hopes going into this season, and the players themselves were talking about Super Bowl aspirations during the taping of Hard Knocks. Of course last year, they also made up shirts that said “DNO” or Destination New Orleans, the site of last year’s Super Bowl as well.

Cynical fans were tempered with cautious optimism, maybe. Others bought the hype and looked at the schedule and saw it as favorable, with a possibility of being one of the better teams in the AFC. Whatever the outlook you had previously, you can’t help but be thankful for where this team is after some of the injuries to some very key players on the defensive front. Guys have stepped up and taken on greater roles than would normally be expected of them and lead this team.
