College Football on TV: The Iron Bowl Awaits

The final weeks of the college football season are here, and many teams will play their final game today, while others will look to extend their seasons with berths into conference championships and bowl games. Once such game will take place in the annual Iron Bowl between the Auburn Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The winner of this historic rivalry game will not only clinch a berth into the SEC Championship, but Bama controls its own destiny as far as getting to the BCS National Championship. Alabama is looking to win its third straight BCS national championship and fourth out of the last five years.

But the biggest turnaround in Auburn history could reach another level if the Tigers upset the Tide, who enter the game as a 10 1/2-point favorite.A victory by the Tigers would not only end those dreams, but a win it could also land them in the BCS championship game under first-year coach Gus Malzahn.
