The Cincinnati Bengals offensive line was what won the game on Sunday against the San Diego Chargers. Against a red-hot Chargers offense, the Bengals’ best defense was to keep them off the field, and the o-line opening up big lanes for both Giovani Bernard and BenJarvus Green-Ellis allowed them to control the clock and control the game.
But it was done so with a make-shift offensive line that was already without starting right guard Kevin Zeitler, who’s battling a foot injury that the team is unsure when he’ll be able to return to action from. It got worse today, as they have lost starting left guard clint Boling for the year after Bengals Head Coach Marvin Lewis confirmed he has a torn ACL that will end the third-year guard’s season:

He was on the field for a while after his leg was rolled-up on a run-play, and he was eventually helped off the field. The team later announced his return was questionable, but he never did get back into the game.
