BenJarvus Green-Ellis said it best and I’ll paraphrase, when Whit was pulling on run plays you couldn’t even see the linebackers. That was the truth Benny, Whit was flat-out mauling guys when he would pull.  I think there are two factors why the Bengals rushed for 162 yards in San Diego and the most yards this year.

One the San Diego defense is not good, two Andrew Whitworth playing guard. With all due respect to starter Clint Boling, who could be lost for the year, big Whit was like a road paver and showed why he is so important to this team.

BJGE had what could have been a costly fumble and once I look at the game again I am going to see what happened. To me it looked like it was just a good play by the defense and the tackler put his helmet in the exact spot to knock the ball out.

While some players would have crumbled the Bengals trusted Benny on the next series and he responded by punishing the Chargers defense and steamrolled some tough yards to kill the clock. I wouldn’t expect another fumble from him this year.
