It’s an unfortunate first for the Cincinnati Bengals, who have now placed their first offensive player on the injured reserve this year. That being starting left guard Clint Boling, who joins Geno Atkins, Leon Hall, Emmanuel Lamur, Robert Geathers and Taylor Mays on I.R.

It’s amazing the Bengals have been able to overcome that many injuries to players who were starters or significant contributors, and they’ll be able to make up for the loss of Boling.

Much like the Bengals did when Boling went down briefly in a game at Cleveland this season, they made up for his absence Sunday by sliding Whitworth over and moving Anthony Collins into Whitworth’s left tackle spot.
