Cincinnati Bengals sign Chris Lewis-Harris; Waive Tony Dye

This was an obvious move to make with starting cornerback Terence Newman out this week as he deals with a sprained MCL. The Bengals will be counting on Dre Kirkpatrick and Adam Jones to start and cover the likes of Antonio Brown(1241 receiving yards) and Jerricho Cotchery(9 TDs this year).

Brandon Ghee and Chris Crocker will also get significant snaps at CB, but if any of those players goes down, Lewis-Harris will have to step-in and play a significant role. Dye will now go through the waiver process, and he may be plucked by another team in need of some depth at defensive back.

If this is the last we’ve seen of Dye, this will certainly be the lasting image of him, as he returned a blocked-punt for a score vs. the Cleveland Browns:
