Falcons QB Matt Ryan

The Falcons offense has been significantly better over the past month with running back Steven Jackson and receiver Roddy White now healthy. That’s helped Ryan average 255 yards and one passing TD over the past four games.

While that constitutes Ryan being a “safe play”, that won’t be the case against a San Francisco 49ers defense allowing the second-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks over the past five weeks, according to FFToday.

The only hope here is if the 49ers start fast and build a big lead quickly and Ryan get a lot of garbage-time points, but in a championship game, do you really want to count on garbage-time points to carry you to victory?

In the final game at historic Candlestick Park, turn the lights out on Ryan and keep him on the bench.
