  • No Mental Mistakes. The Bengals have had some unnecessary penalties that have cost them numerous scoring opportunities; but they’ve also had penalties that allowed the opposing offense a better chance to score.
    The Bengals must have their mentality in playoff mode and clean up the penalties against the Ravens, or they will take advantage of it. Not only that, but turning the ball over is also key.
    There have been spurts of mental issues where players would either fumble the ball, drop passes, run wrong routes, throw the ball into bad coverage, and so on. While that sounds like every NFL team, the Bengals have done it far too many times for a playoff team.
    If the Bengals want to take the next step, they have to clear up the penalties this game and give themselves momentum moving forward into the playoffs. If they do costly penalties, the Ravens could steal away a victory in Cincinnati.
