After losing Jay Gruden to the Washington Redskins, the Cincinnati Bengals now appear on the verge of losing defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer as well.

It was reported earlier this week that Zimmer was the favorite to land the Minnesota Vikings head-coaching gig, but they may take their time and not make a hire for another week or two.

They plan on naming 2-3 finalists and bringing them in for a second wave of interviews, and one of those other candidates could end up being San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman:

This would be the first time Bengals fans would be happy to see a 49er beat them in something.
