Minnesota Radio Man Reporting Vikings Hiring Mike Zimmer Not True

Take this news with a grain of salt, but Dan Cole of K-Fan Sports Radio in Minnesota is reporting the Minnesota Vikings are on the verge of naming Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer their next head coach:

It’s no secret that Zimmer is the favorite to land the job in Minnesota, as he’s the only candidate to be asked to interview with the team for a second time. Second interviews are often an indicator that a candidate is at or near the top of a team’s head-coaching wishlist.

But until said interview takes place and Vikings owner Zygi Wilf gets a chance to meet with Zimmer, nothing is guaranteed, but it does appear the the Vikings have clearly set their sights on Zimmer.

It would serve Brown right to lose Zimmer. A huge loss for the Bengals. Should have fired Lewis and promoted Zimmer. This will hurt the Bengals at the ticket office and should teach Brown a lesson, not to mention he probably blew his chance to re-sign Michael Johnson. This will haunt Brown for years to come, No longer a contender. It might even cost them players like AJ Green next year at this time. We will see.
