The Tennessee Titans just hired Ken Whisenhunt not long after reportedly interviewing Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer for the opening:
Due diligence: Before landing Ken Whisenhunt, the #Titans brought Bengals DC Mike Zimmer to Houston for a second interview today

Apparently, they were more enamored with the offensive-minded Whisenhunt, who’s already one successful head-coaching stint with the Arizona Cardinals, while Zimmer is still seeking that elusive head-coaching opportunity with someone.
Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen of ESPN are reporting that Zimmer is the favorite for the Vikings job and will get his second interview Tuesday:
Zimmer will have his second interview with the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday and he is considered a frontrunner for that job, sources said.
There is some belief the team would like to interview San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator again, and they may do the same with Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Todd Bowels.
As it stands, Zimmer remains the favorite, but if Tuesday ends with no deal, the chances of him remaining in Cincinnati take a small jump, as it would be a signal the Vikings want to wait on Roman to finish the season with the 49ers.
They play the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday in the NFC Championship game.
