Vikings Mulling Next Move with Mike Zimmer and Coaching Search

After Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer was able to leave Winter Park last night without an offer to become the next head coach of the Minnesota Vikings, he’s back meeting with General Manager Rick Spielman and owners Zygi Wilf:

But the team still reportedly doesn’t know if they’ll offer Zimmer their head-coaching job or wait to interview other candidates:

It looks as though it could go either way with Zimmer and the Vikings at this point, and even if the team doesn’t hire him, that doesn’t mean they won’t circle the wagons back to him later on after they’ve interviewed other candidates.

Again, the Vikings want to make the best hire possible, and if that means taking their time, then so be it.
