The Minnesota Vikings will be introducing Mike Zimmer as their new head coach on Friday at 11:00 a.m. The former Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator and the Vikings have agreed to terms on his exit, and Paul Guenther is already being promoted to replace him.

Zimmer even recorded a message to Vikings fans on YouTube saying he is excited and can’t wait to get to work:

As for who his first staff will consist of, he plans on hiring Norv Turner from the Cleveland Browns to be his offensive coordinator:

They need to get an OC like Norv Turner for Zimmer to thrive. He’s as hands-on with an offense as any OC, and Zimmer is all-defense. He needs a strong OC to succeed and Norv will bring him that.

Zimmer will be introduced as the team’s head coach on Friday in a press conference at Winter Park, and the Bengals will likely hold an introductory press conference for Paul Guenther soon now that the Vikings have officially announced their hire.
