Nov 10, 2013; Baltimore, MD, USA; Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice (27) gets tackled by Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vincent Rey (57) at M

Vincent Rey deserves the longest look out of all the Bengals free agents. His production with only 3 starts rivals most of the Bengals starters, 4 sacks, 2 interceptions, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, 1 touchdown.

He sacked Flacco 3 times and made a huge difference when Rey Maualuga went down. His defensive performance for “coming off the bench” so to speak was nothing less than great.

Rey has made a true argument to why he deserves to be on the field in a larger role. I think he has proven that he could be a starting linebacker and be an effective player in the pass defense. His stock should be just right for signing and should be an easy decision to keep for the Bengals, even in the salary cap era.

My Prediction: Rey is a restricted free agent and will at least be tendered. He has earned a long-term contract, but regardless, Rey should be wearing a Bengals uniform in 2014.
