Baylor G Cyril Richardson

Descriptions of the 6-5 335lb guard include: versatile, massive, athletic, and experienced, three traits that are valued on the offensive line and valued by coaching staffs.

A three-year starter, Richardson has lined up at both left tackle and left guard for the Bears over the years and helped pave the way for the team’s top-ranked offense in 2013 as Baylor averaged 624.5 yards per game.

Richardson was just the second offensive lineman in program history named a Walter Camp All-American and was an Outland Trophy finalist.

Clint Boiling has been good at guard, but he isn’t the mauler that Richardson is in the run game, if Hue Jackson wants to run the ball Richardson would be a start.

There are some mixed feelings about Richardson but he was a big reason Baylor had one of the best offenses in college football.
