The Denver Broncos had the NFL’s No. 1 offense in 2013, while the Seattle Seahawks sported the No. 1 defense.

But no one ever saw this kid of start to the Super Bowl coming after Peyton Manning watched a snap go over his head and into the endzone before Knowshon Moreno was able to fall onto it for a safety:

Following the safety, the Seahawks drove down to the DEN-9 yard-line, but the Broncos defense would stiffen and forced a field goal that Steven Hauschka converted to give Seattle a 5-0 lead.

The Denver defense managed to stop Russell Wilson just inches short of the marker for what would have been a first-and-goal had he converted it.

This isn’t the start the veteran Broncos were hoping for, but after that early disaster, they’re only down 5 points and have the ball back.
