The Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks will be squaring-off in Super Bowl 48 shortly, but several players who were projected to be starters entering the year will be inactive today.
Broncos running back Ronnie Hillman entered the 2013 season as the favorite win the starting job, but after a disastrous preseason and early start to the year that saw him frequently fumbling the ball, he’s become a regular on the inactives list.
Tight end Joel Dreessen was also a challenger for a starting role, but the emergence of Julius Thomas has relegated him to the bench for most of the year.
