Andrew Hawkins Has a Message for Bengals Fans

Andrew Hawkins is now a member of the Cleveland Browns, but he has one last message for Cincinnati Bengals fans and the organization itself before he fully makes the switch.

Hawkins took to Twitter to send out his message:

While Bengals fans are surely sad to see Hawkins go, now was the best time for both parties to split. The Bengals sorely underestimated Hawkins’ market, and the Browns saw an opportunity to get a contributor while also hurting an AFC North rival.

That’s on the Cincinnati front office.

Hakwins signed the tender and will make more money than a player of his current pro contributions probably should, but fans should still be happy for him — not only is he making that cash, he’ll have an opportunity to play more snaps with the Browns than he ever would have in the confines of the Bengals offense.

It’s a win for both Hawkins and the Browns. While a loss for the Bengals, the team can rather easily find another playmaker and No. 4 receiver in the draft. The time was simply right for the split to occur, and all parties will eventually be better off as a result.
