Bengals Injury Report: Week 15 versus Browns (Thursday)

The Cincinnati Bengals head to Cleveland this week for the second of two matchups between the Ohio rivals. The game couldn’t be bigger for both teams. The Browns are on the brink of being eliminated from the playoffs, so a win is necessary. As for the Bengals, after losing a huge game against the Steelers on Sunday, another loss this week would seriously harm their chances to repeat as AFC North champions. And though it wouldn’t eliminate them from the playoffs, the Bengals would be dealing with a serious negative momentum shift. This week is vital for both teams, so each will be hoping to have the full availability of their respective rosters. Here’s the Bengals injury report heading into Week 15’s divisional matchup.

Just when you thought the Bengals injury report was looking shorter than usual, today both Jermaine Gresham and Shawn Williams made an appearance on the report with fresh injuries.  Both players practiced on a limited basis, so their injuries aren’t likely serious.

Dre Kirkpatrick practiced today, albeit on a limited basis.  Nonetheless, it was an encouraging sight for the secondary as three cornerbacks are listed this week.  Adam Jones continued to sit out today, which is concerning.  He’s had a great year thus far, so missing his presence both in the secondary and return game would be a big blow to the team.  The Bengals will need all the help they can get as they’ll be dealing with both Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron, something they didn’t have to do in the team’s first matchup with the Browns.

Mike Nugent continues to miss practice.  It seems he’s likely dealing with a personal matter as no injury is officially provided.  Otherwise, the Bengals injury report seems to be what we expected this week.  Hopefully, James Wright and Margus Hunt will heal up quickly.  The Bengals will need “all hands on deck” as the team look to stave off the rest of the AFC North in this year’s tight race to the finish.
