Day Two of the Bengals’ mandatory minicamp is over with. Here’s what we learned.

We already know that Andre Smith was not in attendance, and will face fines. He’s expected to return from “personal issues” later this week, and early next week at the latest.

Head coach Marvin Lewis made a point to state his approval of James Harrison’s progress as well, stating, “James has done great. It’s been fun. It’s what I expected.”

Harrison is in the process of learning a new defense, as he makes the switch from a 3-4 scheme that was run in Pittsburgh. The coaching staff, though, has held to it’s original confidence in Harrison, and his steady work ethic has seemed to help him thus far.

Adam “Pacman” Jones was present today, following his arrest on accusation of hitting a 36-year old woman at outside of a bar. His practice was limited, as he is still dealing with a sore calf muscle that he pulled on the first day pf OTAs.

The offense looked a little off track as it ran it’s session. Andy Dalton and Josh Johnson each fumbled the football in exchanges, and the practice also saw rare drops from Tyler Eifert and Mohamed Sanu.

However, Sanu made up for it with a highlight catch in traffic, and Dalton hit A.J. Green on a pretty 50-yard fade route at the start of practice.

A day after Adam “Pacman” Jones was arrested for allegedly trying to hurt a woman, he has pleaded not guilty.

He has been accused of hitting a 34-year old woman at a downtown nightclub in Cincinnati shortly before midnight, according to ESPN.com.

A police report lists the woman’s injury as minor.

Surveillance video, deemed authentic by Cincinnati police, appears to show Jones approach two women seated outside of the club. A third then approaches Jones and seems to confront him. The video shows the third woman reach towards Jones’ face, however, it remains unclear as to if she was holding anything or if contact was made.

Jones then appears to hit the woman, who falls to the ground before quickly getting up to follow Jones off-camera.

On Monday, NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told ESPN, “we’re aware of it and will review the facts at the appropriate time.”

Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said, “It’s unfortunate that he’s in this situation. That’s really all I can add to it. Obviously, this has to work its way out, whichever way it does.”

Jones was present in the team’s first mandatory mini-camp, but declined to comment on the arrest.

Information in this article was synched from ESPN NFL Insider’s Adam Schefter, ESPN.com’s AFC North blogger Jamison Hensley, and The Associated Press.

Adam “Pacman” Jones has stayed out of trouble of late, but will reportedly turn himself into authorities later today, following an incident at a bar in Cincinnati after he attended a Reds game.

According to Pro Football Talk’s conversation with his agent, Peter Schaffer, Jones was approached by two clearly intoxicated women who asked for a photo with the Bengals’ cornerback and star return man.

Following a decline by Jones, one of the women reportedly threw a beer bottle at his head from behind, striking him from point-blank range. Jones responded by yelling, “What are you doing? Stop it!”

Schaffer then told PFT that several witnesses who he spoke with agreed with Jones’ recalling of the events.

“If it was anybody other than Adam Jones, they would have investigated it,” Schaffer said of the police. “If it was anybody other than Adam Jones, they wouldn’t have arrested him.”

He also stated the police hadn’t interviewed any of the witnesses other than the two women.

Jones alerted fans to the incident via twitter, stating “Just got arrested for protecting myself. I will not let this break or change what I have work [ed] so hard for….”

The Bengals star had several scraps with the law early in his career, but hasn’t been in much trouble since his one-year suspension from 2007-2008.
