The New York Jets have been about as painful to watch as they are to talk about, but Head Coach Rex Ryan was the latest to make news, as he’s made it known that he would be better off getting fired if the team isn’t willing to upgrade the offense. Ryan does already have two years and $6 million left on his contract, and the team is expected to take a significant cap hit by trading/releasing QB Mark Sanchez. Still, this latest ultimatum from Ryan will force Woody Johnson to make big changes this offseason.

Buffalo Bills head Coach Chan Gailey is expected to be fired Monday after the regular season has ended. Since Gailey was hired in 2010, the Bills have gone 15-31 record and missed the playoffs in each of his three seasons. There’s also a chance General Manager Buddy Nix to be let go as well, following another disappointing season in Buffalo.

It would appear St. Louis Rams RB Steven Jackson still has a good year or two left in the tank based on his performance this year, but he hinted on Thursday that he might retire at the end of the 2012 season, saying that he’d “rather go out like Barry Sanders and leaving people to want more than to leave too late.”

If Oregon’s Chip Kelly comes to the NFL next year, there’s reports that he’ll be looking for complete control when it comes to personnel decision-making power. It’s hard to blame him since he has that and more at Oregon right now.

Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb (ankle) will test his ankle in Friday’s practice, and that will likely determine his availability for Sunday’s NFC North showdown vs. the Minnesota Vikings.

Week 11 kicks-off tonight in what will likely be a playoff-like atmosphere as the Miami Dolphins head to Buffalo for an AFC East showdown with the bills. With the Dolphins at 4-5 and the Bills at 3-6, tonight’s matchup will likely eliminate the loser from playoff contention.

Sitting at 3-6 and on the verge of a lost season, the New York Jets are already beginning to implode as they’re spending more time deciding who’s at fault more than their worrying about their next opponent. Yesterday, there were anonymous reports of Jets players expressing their displeasure with backup QB Tim Tebow and how he was “terrible” and nothing more than a distraction.

Now RB Shonn Greene believes that something needs to change at the QB position, and even went as far as to say “it’s time to see if somebody else can do it.”

According to FOX Sports reporter Jay Glazer, the Oakland Raiders originally projected a 2-4 week absence for star runningback Darren McFadden, who went down with a high-ankle sprain in Week 9 and has yet to return to action. He’ll miss this week’s game vs. the Saints and likely next week’s game vs. the Bengals.

The Giants worked out free agent RB Joseph Addai on Tuesday, as the team is apparently worried about the neck injury Ahmad Bradshaw suffered in last week’s loss to the Bengals. They’ve also not been pleased with the development of rookie David Wilson, and Andre Brown is a complimentary back at best.

It’s AFC playoffs time. A time where fans of the teams lucky enough to make it really start to believe their team can go all the way, and a time where fans of the teams that just missed out start to look at mock drafts for the offseason. After looking and predicting each division I now have my list and seeds of the teams in the playoffs. Lets start with the teams that got the bye Houston comes in with the #1 seed and a first round bye as well as New England who came in as the #2 seed. Now lets look at the actual match ups of the Wild Card round of the playoffs. We have the #3 seed Pittsburgh Steelers facing off against the #6 seed Buffalo Bills. In our second match up we have the #4 seed Kansas City Chiefs going against the #5 seed Cincinnati Bengals. We will take a more in depth look into each game looking at a unit against unit battle for each team.
