Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III will have surgery to repair a tear of his right lateral collateral ligament (LCL) and at least part of his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) , and noted doctor James Andrews will be the surgeon. Griffin’s return timetable has been set at 6-8 months, the normal recovery period for an ACL reconstruction. Griffin will undergo surgery early Wednesday morning. At Baylor, Griffin did bounce back from 2009 ACL surgery, so he knows what it takes to get back to the player he was prior to the injury.

 

Colts Offensive Coordinator Bruce Arians is reportedly the San Diego Chargers’ top choice to replace Norval Turner.

 

The Buffalo Bills have hired Nathaniel Hackett as the teams’ offensive coordinator after he spent the past two years as new coach Doug Marrone’s offensive coordinator at Syracuse.
